The Cook and the Chef

"A Cook reasons by analogy, blindly following existing recipes. A Chef reasons from first principles, inventing new recipes from raw ingredients."

The idea

Most people go through life acting like Cooks. They look at what other people are doing, copy the 'recipe' for success, and hope it works. But the visionaries who change the world operate like Chefs: they strip problems down to their fundamental truths and build up from there.
