Atmospheric Anomalies and Technosignatures on TRAPPIST-1e
Science Time · 2024
"Spectral anomalies detected on the tidally locked exoplanet TRAPPIST-1e defy standard atmospheric models, raising the remote but real possibility of non-natural chemistry indicative of a Kardashev Type I civilization."
40 light-years away, the TRAPPIST-1 system hosts seven Earth-sized rocky planets around an ultra-cool red dwarf. TRAPPIST-1e sits in the habitable zone, making it a prime James Webb Space Telescope target. Red dwarf systems are volatile — close-in planets are tidally locked, one side permanently facing the star, and hit by intense stellar flares. Despite that, recent JWST spectral data from TRAPPIST-1e doesn't match expected barren-rock or standard atmospheric profiles.

Spacetime as an Emergent Property
"Spacetime and gravity may not be fundamental components of the universe, but macroscopic illusions emerging from the quantum entanglement of underlying, non-spatial data points — akin to temperature emerging from molecular motion."
